Brett Eldredge Brings the Family for Album Release Party
It didn’t get much more “homier” than Brett Eldredge’s release party for his debut CD, Bring You Back, Tuesday night (July 30) at Marathon Village in Nashville.
His dad, Chris, and mom, Robin, were on hand to help their son celebrate, along with a slew of relatives and most of the population of Paris, Ill., Brett’s hometown.
His mom even baked the fabulous brownies that proved a tempting choice on the buffet line.
Brett made sure to acknowledge the home folks as he performed several selections from Bring You Back, including the title tune, “Tell Me Where to Park” and his current Top 5 hit, “Don’t Ya.” He paused for a moment in between songs and pointed to his relatives in one corner of the room. “I’ve got like 100 aunts and uncles here,” Brett announced with a smile. “I love my family so much and I could never have done this without them.”
Brett also invited several writers who contributed to the album to perform with him, including Luke Laird, Tom Douglas and his “Don’t Ya” co-writers Ashley Gorley and Chris DeStefano.
Following his performance of “Don’t Ya,” Brett received an unexpected surprise from his record label—a plaque certifying that the single had been certified gold for sales in excess of 500,000 copies. “This is one of the most special nights of my life,” said the awestruck singer.
Look for Brett’s album in stores and online outlets beginning Tuesday, Aug. 6.
