RaeLynn, Thomas Rhett and More Share New Year Resolutions

Maddie & Tae

As 2014 draws to a close, RaeLynn is reflecting on what turned out to be a pretty great year. She even managed to keep a number of her New Year 2014 resolutions.

“This last year my New Year’s resolution was that I wanted to eat really healthy … which I stuck to, thank you,” she said. She also wanted a single on the radio, and to see it perform well. Her debut song, “God Made Girls,” just cracked the Top 20.

“So crazy to see my New Year’s resolution happening,” she said. ”I definitely have some cool ones in store for 2015.”

In contrast, Thomas Rhett and his wife won’t be making resolutions to eat healthy or work out more.

“Our New Year’s resolutions this year might be a bit different because me and my wife have done a pretty decent job at trying to stay in shape and eat right,” he said. “I would say that my New Year’s resolution would be to stretch more. To maybe do a little bit more diverse workouts, such as yoga, maybe hot yoga, maybe sweathouse kinda thing. Maybe get more into the whole ‘stretching spiritual’ mindset of things.”

Maddie & Tae are ending the year by celebrating their debut single, “Girl In A Country Song,” reaching No. 1. In the New Year, they hope to continue that momentum by releasing their first full-length studio album and joining a major tour. Their resolution? To take one day at a time.

“I get ahead of myself a lot and get freaked out if there’s too much going on at one time, and in this career you really have to learn how to just kinda go with the flow,” Maddie Marlow said. “So I’m learning, but I would say to get better at taking it just one day at a time.”
